Rihanna, cast and crew of "Fifty Shades Darker" safe in Nice

Many celebrities chimed in to express their heartbreak over Thursday's Nice attack that left at least 84 people dead and dozens more seriously injured, but a few were actually in or around Nice during the tragedy.

Rihanna was in Nice on Thursday during the attack, but her rep confirmed to Billboard that the singer is safe.

Rihanna had a concert scheduled in Nice for Friday, but has canceled due to the attacks. She wrote on Instagram, "Due to the tragic events in #Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families."

The cast and crew members of "Fifty Shades Darker" were also just outside Nice, but producer Dana Brunetti announced that everyone is safe.

He wrote on Facebook, "'Production has confirmed that everyone working on location in the south of France is okay. Everyone has been accounted for and is safe and sound.'

"Thanks for everyone's messages and concerns. Another sad day for France and the world."
