Is Amanda Bynes engaged?

That's what the 28-year-old former child star reportedly told an In Touch Weekly reporter on Sunday.

"I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f--- them, but I can now say I'm engaged -- get away from me," she said, per In Touch's website. "I want to be married and I want to be away from people."

Her supposed fiance, named Caleb, is 19 years old, she said, adding that he lives Costa Mesa, California, and works at a bait shop.

Bynes noted that she wants to put down roots in New York because she "really [likes] walking and riding [her] bike, and in California, you need to drive...I really do not enjoy driving. I don't like the way I look in a car. The lighting is very bad."

Considering her recent run-ins with the law, we are not surprised to hear that Bynes may be tired of getting behind the wheel. The comments come shortly after her recent arrest in Los Anglees on DUI charges.

On Friday, Bynes was spotted in New York sporting a bandage on her face, smoking a cigarette and donning what looked to be a diamond ring.

Bynes starred in her own Nickelodeon series, "The Amanda Show" and appeared in several movies, including "What a Girl Wants," "Hairspray" and "She's the Man."

Lately, though, she's been making headlines for reasons other than her career. Bynes underwent psychiatric treatment last year after authorities said she set a small fire in the driveway of a Los Angeles-area home. She pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving in February and was sentenced to three years of probation. Before that, she was under scrutiny for an alleged bong-throwing incident in New York. The case was later dismissed.

More recently, Bynes has been pursuing a fashion career.
