Kristi Noem included dog-killing story in book because "I don't run away from making hard decisions"
The South Dakota governor wrote in her book that a 14-month-old wirehaired pointer named Cricket had shown aggressive behavior, while she was training the dog for pheasant hunting. She said on Sunday that she made the choice to protect her children from a "dangerous animal."
