Gov. Newsom files suit to block Trump's deployment of troops in Los Angeles
About 700 active-duty Marines have arrived in the Los Angeles area to join National Guard troops who were sent to the city to respond to protests over federal immigration enforcement, a defense official said Tuesday morning.
