One person is dead after a car hit a guard rail twice and then eventually struck the side of a bridge in Edina Wednesday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 5:38 p.m. Wednesday on southbound Highway 100 at 77th Street.
Motorists in the Twin Cities should expect delays this weekend as both directions of Highway 100 will be closed in Brooklyn Center for construction. The Minnesota Department of Transportation said the closure will start at 10 p.m. Friday and the highway should be back open by 5 a.m. Monday for the morning commute.
No children were injured in a school bus crash Wednesday afternoon in Edina, Minn. But the State Patrol said the bus driver and the driver of another vehicle involved were both sent to the hospital.
