According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office, the deaths of Matthew Vincent Serbus, 36, and Dawn Marie Pfister, 34, have been ruled as homicides, with multiple gunshot wounds listed as the cause of death for both. The duo were killed after a police standoff in Eden Prairie at Highway 101 near Dell Road, which began as a high-speed chase in Chaska on Highway 212.

An Eden Prairie man was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with a fatal crash in August. According to the Hennepin County Attorney's office, 46-year-old Randoll Guy Sloan was arrested on a criminal warrant for driving while under the influence of alcohol, having a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08 and for driving in a "grossly negligent manner." The complaint says on Aug. 1, Sloan was driving a Chevrolet Corvette with passenger Kyle Boline on Eden Prairie Road. At around 7:45 p.m., the Corvette didn't take a curve and ended up striking a power pole. The car flipped, and both passengers were ejected. Boline died to hours later at Hennepin County medical Center. Sloan was treated for a broken leg and "significant cuts to the head," according to the criminal complaint.
Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook has been fined $26,250 for contact with an official, per NFL guidelines. Cook told reporters Wednesday his agent has filed an appeal with the league. He said he realizes he has to keep his composure in those situations and added a "guarantee it will not happen again."
