Minnesota Hockey is teaming up with Select Heartland Chevy Dealers of Minnesota. The partnership was announced Tuesday.
In anticipation of the Outdoor Hockey City Classic, officials announced Tuesday that eight ranked teams will be involved in a Jan. 11 event at TCF Bank Stadium. The five-game event is called the High School Hockey Faceoff and will feature some of the top boys and girls high school hockey teams in the state.

Hollins crossed the 1,000-point mark for his career last week in leading the Gophers to a 75-59 victory over South Dakota State. He posted his third double-double, with 20 points and 14 rebounds in 30 minutes. The small forward is averaging 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds over 11 games. He's seventh in the Big Ten in rebounds.

The Eden Prairie wrestling program had a chance to witness some history Friday night as its head coach was preparing to reach a milestone. Scot Davis made a name for himself in Owatonna, then took over the Eagles wrestling program. If the Eagles won Friday night, Davis would get his 1,000th career victory as a head coach.
