Weather Blog: Nice Hair

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It will be hard to maintain your lovely hairdo this weekend as a strong storm passes to our west over the Dakotas.

The wind will be cranking from the south between 15 and 25 mph both days. At least it will be warm with highs in the upper 50s Saturday and the low 50s Sunday.

The strong low pressure center won't have a chance to gather much moisture, but it will dumps some snow in the western Dakotas with rain possible over northwest Minnesota.

We could see some sprinkles in the Twin Cities as a cold front passes early Sunday, but the bulk of the rain will pass over northern Minnesota.

I'm keeping an eye on another storm system that will arrive Tuesday into Wednesday. This one looks to miss us to the southeast.

We could use the rain with our dry conditions, let's just hope when a storm does arrive around here it remains liquid. There is plenty of winter for snow.
