Video: Man Breaks Into Gun Store, Steals High-End Pistols & Silencers

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Rogers police say a burglary suspect "knew exactly what he was seeking and where it was located" when he broke into a gun store earlier this week.

On Friday, police released surveillance video of the incident, which occurred late Wednesday evening at The Guns and Gear Store, located on 21135 Diamond Lake Road S.

Police say the burglar broke into the store at around 11:44 p.m., gaining entry by breaking out the front window.

Police say they are concerned because the suspect only targeted high-end .45 caliber semi-automatic pistols and silencers – and knew exactly where to find them.

Police hope the video released will lead to the public identifying the suspect. He is described as possibly a white male, tall and slender, wearing a dark digital camo parka, gray or medium colored sweat pants, light colored socks, dark tennis shoes and a dark colored backpack.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Rogers police at 763-428-3450, or after hours Hennepin County Dispatch at 952-258-5321.

Rogers police, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating.
