Victim ID'd In Deadly St. Paul Shooting
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police have identified the victim in a deadly Wednesday night shooting.
According to police, just before 10 p.m. Wednesday officers were called to a home on the 2400 block of Youngman Avenue on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found a man inside with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Further investigation found there was a gathering at the home at the time of the shooting. Police are still talking to people attempting to piece the evening together.
On Friday, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Tyshawn Aijawn Hill.
Officers said there are still a lot of questions surrounding what exactly lead to Hill's death, but they are working to get answer.
"Preliminary information is that there was a gathering of several people at this residence when this incident occurred. Our investigators are currently interviewing witnesses from this scene and also canvassing the neighborhood trying to determine the events that led to the death of this victim," Sgt. Mike Ernster said.
No arrests have been made.
