Twin Engine Coffee Creators Promote Sustainable, Local Farming

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Twin Cities native is helping people figure out more sustainable ways to grow food.

Colin Ganley moved to Nicaragua four years ago when he realized that 96 percent of the people who drink coffee don't live anywhere near the beans.

While living there, he and his wife Andrea Woolverton came together to create Twin Engine Coffee.

Woolverton has a PhD in Agricultural Economy and used to work at the United Nations.

They started their company to help bring people closer to the products they consume.

Ganley and Woolverton will be debuting their newest coffee offering, Coffee Berry Tea, at the Eastside Co-op Dec. 17 and 18.
