MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The temperature reached nearly 60 degrees on Saturday as a record over a century old was broken.
The previous record of 54 degrees, set in 1896, was broken around 1:00 p.m. as the temperature climbed to 58. Sunshine and light winds accompanied the #Top10WxDay. The record-breaking temperature held until about 3:00 p.m., when it started to drop slightly.
Overnight, temperatures will drop, and we could have a mix of rain and snow early Sunday morning, so get out and enjoy this weather while you can.
By Tuesday, Minneapolis will be about 30 degrees colder than it was on Saturday.
