Talking Points: Deadline For Super Committee
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- As time ticks down to a deadline to get a deal on the country's $1.2 trillion debt problem, few remain hopeful on Capitol Hill.
The bipartisan "Super Committee" has until next Wednesday to reach an agreement. They were hoping to have something on the table to look at by Monday.
If no deal is reached, several automatic cuts would take effect, including emergency jobless benefits and a payroll tax credit for almost all Americans.
