St. Paul Police Investigating Suspicious Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are investigating a suspicious death on the 1500 block of St. Anthony Avenue, according to Steve Linders of the St. Paul Police Department.

At around 3:30 a.m. Saturday police were called to an apartment building on that block and found a man's body at the bottom of a stairwell.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Anytime someone loses their life, it's sad, but it's even more tragic when it happens under suspicious circumstances, and that's why we need the public's help to determine exactly what happened and why this person died," Linders said in a press conference on Saturday.

Police are asking anyone with information about what happened to contact them.
