Shooting Injures 1, Locks Down School In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – One person was hospitalized after a shooting in St. Paul Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Sgt. Paul Paulos said the incident happened at about 2 p.m. near the intersection of Thomas Avenue and Mackubin Street. A male victim was shot in the thigh and authorities said he was taken to Regions Hospital.

St. Agnes School, which is about two blocks away from where the shooting took place, was put on lock down for a brief time while police canvassed the area to investigate.

The victim is expected to survive. Police said no arrests have been made and they are still looking for suspects. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call St. Paul Police.
