Sheriff: St. Louis Co. Man Attacked Neighbor With Homemade Club

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 51-year-old St. Louis County man is in custody after he was accused of attacking his neighbor with a homemade club.

The sheriff's department was called to the 4700 block of Old Seville Road in Grand Lake Township Saturday at about 7:20 a.m.

They say David James Getchell approached his neighbor, 52-year-old Henry Arvid Linder, and struck him on the head several times.

Linder has an active harassment order against Getchell. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Essential Health – St. Mary's Hospital.

Getchell was booked into the St. Louis County Jail, where he awaits formal charges.
