Sheriff: Motorcyclist Killed In Kandiyohi County Crash
Update: The motorcyclist has been identified as 72-year-old Larry Johnson of Grove City.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A motorcyclist died late Sunday morning after losing control and crashing on a west central Minnesota road, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities were called at about 11:20 a.m. to a intersection of County Road 4 and County Road 26 in Harrison Township on a report of a motorcycle crash. When officers arrived, the driver had been traveling southbound and lost control, leaving the roadway and entering the west ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released. What led up to the crash is under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office. Officers were assisted at the scene by Atwater Ambulance, Atwater Fire Department and Willmar Ambulance.
