Report: Minnesotans Struggle To Make Ends Meet
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The latest U.S. Department of Agriculture report shows people nationwide, including Minnesotans, are struggling to put food on the table.
The report indicates that 15 percent of households across the nation struggle to put food on the table. It also shows that about 1 in 10 Minnesota households are "food insecure." That means that those households either eat less or go without meals because of a lack of funds or other resources for food.
The silver lining is that Minnesota is doing better than the country as a whole.
