Protesters Call For An End To Bombings In Iraq, Syria
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Protesters gathered in Minneapolis calling for an end to bombing missions in Iraq and Syria on Saturday.
The Minnesota Peace Action Coalition said bombing fuels terrorism in the Middle East.
In 2014, President Obama authorized troops to complete aerial bombing missions after ISIS became a bigger threat.
This week, U.S. government officials confirmed ISIS is responsible for committing genocidal acts against Christians and other minorities in Syria and Iraq.
Secretary of State John Kerry said the determination does not require the U.S. to take additional action against the Islamic State.
