Police: Mpls Man Ransacks Homes Of Metal, Aluminum
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 48-year-old man forcibly entered two vacant Minneapolis homes, cutting and then stealing aluminum and metal from the heat register and stove, police say.
According to the complaint, Stanley Armand Brooks, of Minneapolis, was caught by authorities pushing a garbage can behind a home on the 2600 block of Lyndale Ave. N. on Tuesday.
Parts from inside the can Brooks was carrying matched metal pieces from one home on the block, and aluminum parts from another residence, police said.
According to the complaint, Nakita Cheville Jordan, who was with Brooks when police saw him with the garbage can, was carrying a backpack with a large bolt cutter and other tools inside.
Brooks is charged with one felony count of burglary.
Both Brooks and Jordan are in custody.
