Patrol: Rollover Crash Kills 1 In Itasca County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A rollover crash early Sunday morning in Itasca County left a 29-year-old man dead.
The State Patrol reports that the crash happened shortly after midnight on Highway 65 south of Swan Lake. A Chevrolet Silverado went off road into a ditch, hit an embankment and crashed into a group of trees.
Officials found the truck's driver, identified as Nicholas Peterson of Cambridge, dead at the scene.
The patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol was detected in his system.
