Patrol Names 2 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash In SE MN
BYRON, Minn. (AP) -- The two people killed in a head-on collision early Friday on U.S. Highway 14 east of Byron in southeast Minnesota have been identified.
The State Patrol names them as 18-year-old Tyler Hoff, of Mazeppa, and 22-year-old Emery Van Hook, of Kasson.
According to Post-Bulletin of Rochester, the Patrol says Van Hook was driving westbound when his car was hit by a car traveling east in the westbound lane. Hoff was a passenger in his back seat on the driver's side.
The driver of the other car and another passenger in Van Hook's car were critically injured.
The accident happened just after 2:30 a.m. Friday. The Patrol says it wasn't immediately known if alcohol was a factor.
