Patrol: Fatal Crash On Icy Highway 218
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – At least one person died Tuesday morning in southern Minnesota after a car lost control on an icy highway and drove into the path of an on-coming SUV.
The State Patrol said the crash happened in Steele County on Highway 218, which runs southeast out of Owatonna.
A Ford Focus was driving south when it lost control, spun out, and was broadsided on the passenger's side by a Ford Edge.
The names of those involved have yet to be released.
