Man Arrested In Connection To Fatal N. Mpls. Shootout, Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minneapolis police have made an arrest in the death of a man last week on the city's north side.

Kelontay Croom, 22, was killed during a shootout between cars around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the cars were traveling east on 53rd Avenue North when the shooting started. Both vehicles crashed and some people fled on foot.

Croom was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A woman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police say the suspect was arrested Monday in Brooklyn Park. Their identity has not been released.
