Mpls. School District Reaches Contract Agreement With Teachers
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After three days of negotiation, Minneapolis Public Schools has reached a contract agreement with its teachers late Saturday night.
The specifics of the contract have not yet been released, but the district released the following statement:
"We believe this contract will improve our overall effectiveness by investing in teachers and students who are at the core of our work."
A vote is expected next month.
The St. Paul Public School district avoided a strike with its teachers eight days ago after agreeing to new wages, additional staffing and limiting class sizes.
They'll vote on their new contract on Monday.
