Man Tasered By St. Paul Police Will File Complaint
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A musician says he'll file a complaint against police on Friday after he captured his arrest on camera.
St. Paul Police arrested Chris Lollie in a downtown skyway in January.
Investigators say a security guard called them when he wouldn't leave a private area.
Lollie says he refused to give officers his name because he hadn't done anything wrong.
"Can someone please help me?" he can be heard asking in a YouTube video.
Thursday, police said he pulled away and resisted orders, so they Tasered him to safely arrest him.
Lollie says his daughter's day-care class saw it happen and his phone fell to the floor.
"It's like being powerless, just being powerless," he said. "That's how I felt."
St. Paul's police chief defended his officers' actions.
They were not disciplined after an internal investigation.
Charges against Lollie were later dropped.
