Man Shot In 2006 Dies Of Injuries
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis man who was shot while walking to the movies with his girlfriend in 2006 has died of complications due to the shooting.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says that 20-year-old Victor Rosenbloom Jr. died on March 4. They listed the manner of death as homicide.
Four and a half years ago, Rosenbloom was shot outside a south Minneapolis home. He was 16 years old at the time.
He said he blacked out and couldn't remember what happened after shots started ringing out. He was hit by a bullet in the neck, which paralyzed him.
When WCCO's Darcy Pohland reported on his recovery at Gillette Children's Hospital, he was using a respirator to breath and learning to operate a voice recognition computer and a head-controlled wheelchair.
In June 2007, a jury found 23-year-old Frankie Tyson guilty of first-degree aggravated assault in the shootings. He was sentenced to 100 months in prison.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office is currently reviewing the case.
