Man Cited With Driving 111 MPH In 60 MPH Zone
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Sauk Centre man was taken into custody after allegedly driving nearly twice the speed limit in a 60 mph zone early Thursday.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says that they pulled over a vehicle traveling north on Highway 71 near County Road 187 just after midnight.
The vehicle was clocked going 111 mph in a 60 mph zone.
The driver failed field sobriety tests, and was taken into custody. Police identified him as 30-year-old Wade Holck.
Police say after reviewing Holck's previous history, they booked him on felony-level driving while intoxicated.
His case has been forwarded to the Stearns County Attorney's Office.
