Wis. Man Arrested After Live-Streaming Threats Against Police

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Police have arrested a Madison man for allegedly live streaming threats to kill an officer.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports that a law enforcement officer from outside the area reported the threats to dispatchers Saturday morning. The video showed the 27-year-old man driving around and saying he was going to where Tony Robinson was shot and would shoot the first officer he saw there. The video showed the man was armed.

The man saw a Madison officer parked in his squad car about an hour later. He approached the officer, who was aware of the threat. The officer arrested him without incident.

Madison officer Matt Kenny killed Robinson in an apartment stairwell near the state Capitol last year. Kenny is white. Robinson was black.
