Lightning Strike Causes House Fire In Cottage Grove
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Cottage Grove house caught on fire Saturday morning after a bolt of lightning struck the home.
According to Washington County officials, around 6 a.m. a call came in reporting a fire in the 8400 block of Hyde Avenue.
The fire was allegedly caused by a lightning strike.
Cottage Grove Fire Department, St. Paul Park Fire Department and Woodbury Fire Department responded to the scene. They cleared the scene by 8:40 a.m.
It is unclear how much damage was done to the home.
No one was injured in the fire.
