Kleinsasser To Be Inducted Into UND Hall Of Fame

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — Retired Minnesota Viking Jim Kleinsasser headlines this year's class of inductees into the University of North Dakota Letterwinners Athletics Hall of Fame.

Kleinsasser spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Vikings after being a second-round draft pick out of UND in 1999. He appeared in more games than any tight end in Vikings history. He retired after last season.

The Carrington native was a two-time NCAA Division II All America tight end while at UND in the late 1990s.

The 2012 class also includes John Christen, a tennis and wrestling standout in the 1980s, and Louise Ronnerman, a cross country and track star in the 1990s. UND's 1997 NCAA Division I champion men's hockey team also is being inducted. The ceremony is Sept. 29.
