Charges Expected To Be Amended For Man Accused Of Strangling His Mother
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) — Charges are expected to be amended in Hennepin County against a man accused of strangling his elderly mother in Bloomington now that she has died at a hospital in Edina.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says 82-year-old Lila Bulygo died of complications due to strangulation May 4 at Fairview Southdale Hospital.
Bulygo was found unconscious by police April 29. Her 56-year-old son is charged with second-degree murder. James Bulygo told investigators he is mentally ill and had been arguing with his mother.
