GOP-Led Senate Panels Hold Hearing In Hibbing

HIBBING, Minn. (AP) -- Two Senate panels are bound for the Iron Range on Friday to talk about jobs and Minnesota's business climate.

Committees for jobs and the environment hold a joint meeting at Hibbing Community College to hear from local officials and business leaders. The agenda includes environmental regulations and job creation.

The senators are also slated to tour a taconite mining operation in Hibbing.

The group includes the Senate's top Republican leaders, Majority Leader Amy Koch and deputy leader Geoff Michel, who also heads the jobs panel.
