FBI Raids Half A Dozen Twin Cities Chiropractic Offices
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – More than a half dozen chiropractic offices in the Twin Cities were raided by the FBI Tuesday afternoon.
Federal investigators confirm that six to ten locations were searched by the FBI and that the officers were involved in coordinated operations.
They were not able to give more details because the search warrants are sealed.
WCCO spoke with the Insurance Federation of Minnesota. The Vice President of Public Affairs Mark Kulda said he believes the FBI raids are a direct result of a number of insurance fraud complaints that they have sent to the Department of Commerce fraud bureau over the last ten years.
He said insurance company investigators have turned over information about chiropractors charging for services that were not performed.
