Ecologist Talks On Harmonizing People And Nature
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A Stanford University ecologist who's is a leading researcher and writer in the emerging field of protecting the environment by attaching a monetary value to all the varied benefits humans receive from nature will give a free public lecture in St. Paul on Monday.
Gretchen C. Daily's lecture is titled "Harmonizing People and Nature: A New Business Model." It's co-sponsored by the Freshwater Society and the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences.
The lecture will be at 5 p.m. in the St. Paul Student Center theater on the university's St. Paul campus.
It will be the fifth lecture in the Moos Family Speaker Series, which honors the late Malcolm Moos, a former University of Minnesota president.
