Calif. Café Tests Out Robotic Baristas
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A café in California is testing out robotic baristas.
Meet Gordon. The robot is now serving coffee and espresso at San Francisco's Café "X."
Gordon makes up to 120 drinks an hour. The robot grabs a cup, pumps in some syrup and grinds beans, before serving your drink in as little as 22 seconds.
The brains behind Café "X" said the goal is not to replace baristas with robots, but to offer good quality coffee consistently.
