Baxter Family Child Care Operation Closed After Infant Death
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- State regulators have temporarily closed a family child care in Baxter following the death of a 3-month-old girl.
Brooklyn Tramm died last Thursday at a family day care operated by Kimberly and Jerry Opay. The cause of death remains under investigation.
There is a complaint the providers failed to follow safety requirements to reduce the risk of sudden unexpected infant deaths.
The state says this is the second death in a licensed child care facility this year.
