"Active police situation" promptes shelter-in-place order in Austin, Minnesota
An "active police situation" involving a gun has prompted authorities in Austin, Minnesota, to ask some residents to shelter in place.
The Austin Police Department said residents between Ninth and Thirteen avenues southeast should stay where they are.
"Officers are currently searching for a suspect," the department said around 10:20 a.m.
Austin is about 100 miles south of Minneapolis.
