4 Things To Do Today From Saturday, July 9

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Here are the top four events that Natalie Nyhus and Mike Augustyniak covered on WCCO 4 News Saturday Morning!

1. The Basilica Block Party continues Saturday night in downtown Minneapolis. Beginning in 1995, the fundraiser started to help preserve, restore and advance the historic Basilica of St. Mary. And this year, they have a great lineup of acts for night two, including Matt Nathanson, Phillip Phillips, The Fray and much more. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the event goes until 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $65.

2. The Hamel Rodeo is back in Corcoran this weekend and includes steer wrestling, bronc and bull riding. Kids can get a free pony ride Saturday as well. The first show is at 1 p.m., the second at 7:30 p.m. It's family day and tickets are just $9 for the afternoon show. Regular tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for kids.

3. Happy 10-year anniversary to the Midtown Global Market! They are celebrating that milestone with a music festival Saturday. It kicks off at 11:30 a.m. with a Native American drumming ceremony. Then a variety of continuous music and dance performances continue on three stages. And the festival is free!

4. The 2016 Dragon Festival in St. Paul is two days of colorful, traditional dances and music to showcase the performance arts of Asia. One of the biggest draws to this event though is the boat races. Those kick off at about noon. For the kids, there are arts, crafts and a bouncy castle, too! Plenty of authentic Asian food as well. The Dragon Festival goes from 10 a.m. til 5 p.m.
