1 Person Dies In Mankato Apartment Fire
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -- Investigators are looking for the cause of a fatal fire in Mankato.
Firefighters were called to an apartment complex Monday about 9 p.m. Authorities say the fire in a lower level apartment was extinguished quickly after firefighters encountered "moderate to heavy smoke."
Firefighters discovered then discovered a body in a back bedroom of the apartment. The Free Press says the Ramsey County medical examiner will do an autopsy.
