1 Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Wisconsin

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Hastings man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Wisconsin's St. Croix County early Saturday morning.

The crash happened in the town of Troy along Riverview Drive and Highway F at about 4 a.m.

Authorities said that it appeared the motorcycle left the roadway and overturned in the ditch. There were two people on the motorcycle when it crashed.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Joshua Sykora, was taken to the Hudson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

His passenger, a 38-year-old woman from Prescott, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, investigators said.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
