The final victim of the Hawaii wildfires has been identified as 70-year-old Lahaina resident Lydia Coloma.
Each year, 15,000 native Hawaiians leave the state for the mainland, which now boasts a larger Hawaiian population than Hawaii itself.
Students from the high school have been attending classes at a temporary site after the August 8th wildfire destroyed their school.
If Maui wildfire survivors lost their necessary medication, "it would be another disaster," said Dr. Cory Lehano. "We have the ability to take care of these people ... so let's do it."
Dry conditions and strong wind fueled wildfires on the Big Island and Maui, where blazes spread in Lahaina as well as inland.
The house "looks like it was photoshopped," the homeowner said, amid the piles of ash that surround it on Lahaina's famous Front Street after the Aug. 8 wildfire swept through.
Supplies and cash donations are being accepted this week at several locations
The president and first lady saw the destruction close up and met with responders in Lahaina amid criticism of the White House response to the catastrophic blaze.
At least 115 people were confirmed dead, Maui County said Monday.
When asked Wednesday by reporters if he regretted not activating warning sirens when the wildfires broke out Aug. 8, Herman Andaya responded, "I do not."
"This is much like you see in a war zone or what we saw with 9/11," Green said on "The Source with Kaitlan Collins."
Residents say Hawaii's famous warning sirens never went off. The death toll has climbed steadily as the search continues.
Hawaii Gov. Josh Green said Saturday that operations would focus on "the loss of life."
13-year-old Milo Tomkinson and his big brother, 19-year-old, Noah Tomkinson were trying to escape historic Lahaina town on the island of Maui with their mom when the flames started to spread terrifyingly close.
Oprah told the BBC she had visited the evacuation point earlier to ask what people needed, before returning with pillows, diapers and shampoo.
