Wild Fire Rages Dangerously Close To Home In SW Miami

SOUTHWEST MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Firefighters had their hands full with a grass fire that spread dangerously close to a home in Southwest Miami.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene around 11 a.m. on Saturday, near S.W. 156th Street and S.W. 187th Avenue.
Officials said the dry vegetation and breezy weather made it an ideal situation for the fire to spread.
Crews were eventually able to extinguish the flames before they impacted a home still under construction.
No one was hurt and there were no structural damage.
