Sports Agenda For Tuesday (3/27/12)

Big Story:
Yikes, the Heat are doing their best Miami Dolphins impersonation and there's plenty of blame to go round; the Canadiens welcome the losing streak Panthers; and the Dolphins, yeah, they're still delusional.

Lyrics of the day:
"Well I'm upper upper class high society. God's gift to ballroom notoriety. And I always fill my ballroom. The event is never small. The social pages say I've got….The biggest balls of all."

Heat: (mercifully off until Thursday against Mavs)
Um, memo to Chris Bosh, it's called rebounding….you really should look into it.
I always have trouble with how a guy who is nearly 6'11" can disappear so much in the game of basketball.
I know his game isn't to get physical, but c'mon man, throw some weight and height around and get some boards.
Seriously, he had more turnovers last night than he did rebounds (4-2).
And wow, could the Heat shoot any worse from the field.
42 percent for the game and LeBron was 9-21, Bosh was 4-11, and Wade was 7-16.
LeBron also had almost as many turnovers as he did rebounds (6-9).
It was truly a team effort loss last night.
I also believe Turiaf should be starting over Joel.
Turiaf can at least catch the ball and put it in the basket, which any Heat fan who has seen Joel play is a challenge.
Norris Cole also forgot how to play last night as he was swallowed up by the Pacers and scored as many points as I did last night.
Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with the team, but there's something major going down, besides their record.
They are 3-6 on the road since the All-Star Break and that's a quick way to exit the playoffs early.
They've gone from shooting the lights out to not being able to throw the ball in the Atlantic.
Indiana is a good team with good size, but the Heat should have handled them easily as they did earlier this year.
But, the Heat are not the same team from before the break and especially not since Chris Bosh took time away from the team.
I hope his grandmother's death will inspire him, that's an incredibly tough thing to go through, so I'm hoping for the best for him.
Now the Heat have to prepare for the Dallas Mavericks at home this Thursday.
Dallas isn't the championship team from a year ago, but they can still give the Heat fits.
All of this is making me wonder, how much do they really miss Mike Miller?
Is he really that much of a presence that his absence can impact a team that much?
I seriously doubt it, but I'm also grasping at straws to try to figure the team out.
Remember though, they went through a five-game losing streak last year and started off horribly.
It worked out pretty well in the end, almost perfect.

Panthers: (@ Montreal Canadiens, 7:30 p.m., Fox Sports Florida)
Okay Panthers, you're in the home stretch and you can't afford any more screwups like your three-game losing streak you're currently on.
There's no reason the Cats shouldn't sweep the upcoming three games before the calendar turns to April.
Montreal is the toughest challenge ahead and even they aren't that tough.
Taking a look at the standings, Florida is still three points ahead of Washington.
But a win tonight would look awfully good in the standings.
The problem is Florida is one whole game above .500 on the road this season.
Yikes.
It's also fascinating that Florida has scored 186 goals and allowed 206 this year.
And they're still in the playoff hunt.
Go figure huh?
Face off tonight is 7:30 p.m.

Dolphins:
If you didn't see it yesterday, I can sum up the Dolphins press conference at the Owners meetings.
We're rebuilding, but we can't tell you that. We hope we can hit gold in the draft, but our track record is mediocre.
Please buy tickets and watch this team, we still are an NFL team.
That's about it.
I know I give the Fins a lot of crap, but they bring it on themselves.
Here's my biggest questions going forward with the team:
Why no contract extension for Jake Long?
Who do you envision playing quarterback?
Who will be the number one receiver?
Are you looking at drafting a receiver in the first round this year or next?
Who will start on the right side of the line.
Do you think Reggie can hold up for a second straight season?
Why should fans believe anything the team says?
Why do you hate the media and the fans so much you keep a veil of secrecy on this squad that would make the CIA proud?
Why should a fan spend hundreds of dollars on a team that is likely to struggle?
That's a few of the questions I have going forward for the team.
Unfortunately, none of those questions would ever truly be answered.
Instead we'd get more political spin than a combination of Karl Rove and James Carville….and that's a lot of spin.

Marlins:
T-minus five days until a pair of exhibition games against the Yankees open up Marlins Park.
Then the biggie as the Cards come to town to officially open Marlins Park for the regular season.
Okay, let's take bets….how long until the roof gets stuck?
Just kidding.
After April 4's game, the Fish go on the road until April 13 when they come back for six straight in Little Havana.
What, they couldn't play a game on my birthday, a Friday?
C'mon man, what's up with that?
Expecting Josh Johnson to go first out of the gate followed by Buehrle and Sanchez in the rotation.
Look for Edward Mujica to be the setup man and Heath Bell will be the closer.

Wrestlemania is just six days away. Yes, I'm a wrestling fan, have been since I was about 12. Yes I know it's fake, but it's still great entertainment.
We'll look at all of the teams and Wrestlemania on CBSMiami.com/Sports.
