Lauderhill police investigate stabbing following domestic altercation; woman detained, man hospitalized after Saturday night incident
A domestic dispute in Lauderhill turned violent Saturday evening when a woman allegedly stabbed a man multiple times, leaving him hospitalized and prompting a swift police investigation.
On Saturday evening, Aug. 22, 2026, at approximately 7:04 p.m., officers from the Lauderhill Police Department responded to reports of a stabbing in the 4400 block of NW 12th Court. Upon arrival, law enforcement found an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was quickly transported by Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center, where authorities report he is currently in stable condition.
According to preliminary findings, the incident stemmed from an altercation between the victim and an adult female at the scene. During the dispute, the female allegedly stabbed the male multiple times. Police have detained the woman as the investigation continues.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to process the scene and gather evidence. Officials stress that the information released so far is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation unfolds.
