FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A "smooth" criminal, or should we say a "smoothie" criminal, who robbed a Cooper City business last month was caught on camera.

Now the Broward Sheriff's Office have made pictures from the store's surveillance video public in hopes that someone recognizes him and gives them a call.

The robbery happened December 11th, just after 8 p.m., at the Smoothie King in the Stirling Town Center on Stirling Road.

On the video you can see the man enter the store and quickly approach the registers. He then brandished a knife and demanded that the female employee behind the counter open the cash drawer. She did.

The man then grabbed several hundred dollars from the till and fled on foot.

The sheriff's office said the man appeared to be in his 20s and was about 5'7" with a slim build. He had facial hair and light eyes, possibly blue. He wore a fleece hooded jacket with gray and blue stripes, a collared shirt with gray and khaki stripes, dark pants and light sneakers.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff's office at (954) 321-4738 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or browardcrimestoppers.org. A reward of up to $3,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
