Headed To British Isles, Ophelia Becomes 6th Major Hurricane Of Season

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Hurricane Ophelia has become a rare Category 3 hurricane while still south of the Azores, the sixth major hurricane of the 2017 season.
The storm is accelerating to the east-northeast across the Atlantic.
By 11 a.m., Ophelia was 220 miles southwest of the Azores with maximum sustained winds at 115 mph.
The storm's five-day forecast, which can change, shows a post-tropical Ophelia nearing the British Isles by Monday.
