FDA Investigate Listeria Outbreak Linked To Recalled Frozen Vegetables

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Federal health officials are investigating a multi-state listeria outbreak linked to frozen vegetables that are being recalled.
Officials with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with state and local officials are investigating the outbreak.
The CDC reports eight people so far have been linked to the outbreak in California, Maryland, and Washington.
Health officials linked the outbreak to frozen vegetables produced by CRF Frozen Foods saying it is"one likely source of illnesses in this outbreak."
CRF Frozen Foods, sold under various brand names, issued a recall on all of its frozen organic and traditional fruit and vegetable products back on May 2nd. This included 358 of their products sold under 42 separate brands.
All of the recalled products were manufactured or processed since May 1, 2014 and shipped to stores all over the U.S. including Costco and Trader Joe's.
