Davie To Take Final Vote On Sunday Morning Alcohol Sales
DAVIE (CBSMiami) – The Town of Davie will take a final vote Wednesday night on whether to end a ban on Sunday morning alcohol sales.
Earlier this month the town's council voted unanimously to end a decades-old policy which barred stores from selling boozed before noon on Sunday. The ordinance, if approved, would amend the Town Code and allow the sale of alcohol as early as 7 a.m. on Sunday.
Other Broward cities including Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea have already loosed their laws for selling alcohol on Sunday.
Under Florida law, stores can sell alcoholic beverages as early as 7 a.m. every day of the week unless a local ordinance indicates otherwise.
