MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A man with a gun sparked a manhunt in northeast Miami-Dade Wednesday morning.
It began with a pursuit of a car by the Florida Highway Patrol. The FHP said during the chase a bag of marijuana was thrown from the vehicle.
The FHP and Miami-Dade police converged on the Rodwway Inn near I-95 and 167rd Street after the black car pulled into the parking lot.
"The car came barreling around the corner and almost hit the back of my car," said Jason Isler, who is visiting from Orlando. "Two gentleman got out, one had a handgun on him, so I told the people that I was with to turn around and go back into the hotel because the guy has got a gun."
Police searched the area for more than an hour, but were unable to find the men.
